EPIC WALK FOR ELEPHANT ACROSS EAST AND CENTRAL AFRICA

On Monday, 6th November 2023, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) led by Ag. Deputy, Director Community Relations and Education Services Mary Kirabui, celebrated the East and Central Africa Elephant Awareness Campaign Walk, ‘Walk for Elephant’ final procession, honoring Jim Justus Nyamu, the founder of “Ivory Belongs to Elephant Movement”, at the KWS headquarters, Nairobi.

On Wednesday evening,   November 1st 2023, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) led by the Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, Dr. Alfred Mutua and the Director General, Dr. Erustus Kanga hosted His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla during their official visit to Kenya at the Ivory Burning Site in Nairobi National Park.

In a groundbreaking collaboration that transcends borders and celebrates shared commitment to wildlife conservation, the Nairobi National Park and Mount Wuyi National Park-China, managers signed a partnership deal under the visionary leadership of the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Director General Dr. Erustus Kanga and the Fujian Governor Zhao Long, on the 22ndSeptember 2023, at the KWS Headquarters, Nairobi.

KWS RECEIVES EQUIPMENT FROM WWF TO AID CONSERVATION

KWS Director General Dr Erustus Kanga Thursday, August 31, 2023 received donations from World Wildlife Fund (WWF) worth over 38 million shillings to aid rangers in operations to protect wildlife. While thanking WWF for the donation, Dr Kanga said the equipment will be a big morale booster to rangers, translating to enhanced protection of wildlife.

KWS HOSTS eCITIZEN INDUCTION FORUM FOR TOURISM STAKEHOLDERS

In an effort to streamline the recently-introduced e-Citizen modalities at all park and reserves entry points, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) hosted a tourism stakeholder’s induction forum at Nairobi National Park’s Clubhouse grounds, Wednesday, 30th August, 2023.

The forum was intended to demystify the e-Citizen platform to all in attendance, as well as satisfy stakeholders’ reservations, and find long-term solutions to pertinent issues raised during the forum.
